According to boxee blog they plan to release 1.5 in January 2012.
Links are going to be added to the standard menu to launch the Browser and Live TV
(not available in Europe). Featured section is given a
small facelift.

The layout of Movies and TV Shows will be slightly changed for easier navigation by
Genre and Source. Quick access to trailers will be provided. A new Movie details screen with extended cast
& crew information is planned.
